Eastman Institute is a specialist clinic within the
community dental care in (Folktandvården) Stockholm county, with
qualifications within different fields of dental care. The institute is
a multicultural clinic with 150 on staff, speaking several languages.
We treat over 8000 children and 1000 adult patients annually. Our goal
is to contribute to an improved oral health by:

The specialists at Eastman Institute play a leading
role in the advancement of their respective field, both nationally and
internationally, through expert participation in governmental bodies
and specialist associations.
Research at Eastman Institute results in publication of a number scientific papers annually.
A number of presentations are held at national and
international conferences to report results of the clinical projects
conducted at Eastman Institute.
Postgraduate education is well
established at Eastman Institute. In 2004 six dentists fulfilled
specialist training requirements in orthodontics (the treatment of
dental irregularities) and in specialized dental care for children
pedodontics. At present, eight dentists are enrolled in specialist
training programs.
Eastman Institute consists of five departments
with a central management. The public dental clinic at Eastman
Institute belongs to the community dental care (Folktandvården)
Karlaplan.
